REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES
The trustees of the Castle Bromwich Christadelphian Ecclesia present their report for the year ending 30[th] September.
The ecclesia was registered with the Charity Commission with effect from 22[nd] May 2017 in accordance with the requirements of the 2006 Charity Act. The report follows the guidelines set out by the Commission.

Section C: Objectives & Activities
The charity’s objects are to advance Bible-based Christian faith to the glory of God and the honour of Jesus Christ in accordance with the Christadelphian Birmingham Amended Statement of Faith for the benefit of the Christadelphian community and members of the public, particularly in and around Castle Bromwich.
The Charity’s main activities, undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects, are:

Holding meetings, open to the public, for worship, prayer and Bible teaching.

Preaching through personal engagement and by invitations to meetings.

Running a website which gives the public access to our Bible teaching.

Engaging with the local public through the provision of other occasional activities.

Engaging with the wider Christadelphian community and wider public through periodic collections for charitable needs, including collections for disaster relief; and

Serving, to the extent feasible, the pastoral and other welfare needs of members and others.
The foregoing activities promote a fuller understanding of the human condition, relative to the eternal things of God, and serve to provide members of the public with direction, balance and purpose in today's complex world.
In the exercise of their powers and duties in connection with the Charity's objects, the trustees have reviewed and had regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit as last updated in September 2014.
Except for meetings of the members of the charity known as Ecclesial Business Meetings, all our activities are open to all. No fees are charged. No-one receives private benefits from the charity other than as a legitimate beneficiary. There is no public detriment in any of our activities.
Section D: Achievements and Performance
The Charity holds weekly meetings for worship, prayer and Bible teaching, mainly on Sunday and Thursday evenings. Members of the public are invited to join us by external notice boards, personal witness, the occasional distribution of leaflets and on our website. After most meetings informal interaction continues over refreshments, adding further time for visitors and members to encourage one another.
The ecclesia began and ended the period with a membership of 31 adult members. The average attendance of members at services and other activities remained steady.
There is a network of practical support for elderly members, the sick and those with particular needs.

Section E: Financial Review
The cash movements and balances are summarised in the receipts and payments accounts, attached. The ecclesia does not have a reserves policy. All funds are held in instant access bank accounts. The balance in these funds at the end of the year was considered sufficient to meet the ongoing expenses of the ecclesia. Most contributions from members are made either via monthly standing order gift-aided payments or through the weekly bag collection. Funds donated specifically for external charities are forwarded to the relevant organisation within three months of the donation.
