Activities

We are best known for organising, promoting and delivering the Sustainability Festival. We also put on films and talks, and other events, such as a school age training day, exploring what it means to be a sustainable community. We lend out two thermal imaging cameras. We organise Open Food Gardens in summer. We foster Playing Out, enabled by the closure of local roads. We are open to new ideas.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are1 To The Conservation Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment, Acting Primarily Within The City And District Of St Albans By Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Sustainable Use Of Resources; And2 To Advance The Education Of The Public In The Sustainable Use Of Resources And The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment, Acting Primarily Within The City And District Of St Albans.nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable
