for the beneft of children with
disability from local schools. Carriage
driving was suspended, while we
found and then started training a new

Financial Review
Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period
Para 1.21 The Charity is in a sound financial
position; in particular, we have
benefitted from a generous donation of
£10,000 during the year, available for
general purposes.
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.22 We aim for a prudent reserve, equivalent
to one year’s annual expenditure. We
have in excess of that at present,
following the grant referred to above; we
had anticipated incurring considerable
expenditure on acquiring and training a
new driving pony, buying a new carriage
and acquiring new riding ponies. In the
event we have benefitted by the
unexpected donation of 2 riding ponies,
the loan of a potential driving pony and
the gift of a new carriage
