**possible from going into rescue. We do this by**
**running training on Sundays to help rescue dog**
**owners to understand their dog’s behaviour, the law**

**owners. They train to pass the Kennel Club's Good**
**Citizens Scheme. In addition, K-9RR is also a small**
**foster-based rescue for all breeds of dogs.**|

**volunteers. Special thanks must go to our trainers**
**who regularly give up their Sunday mornings to run**
**dog training at Sedlescombe Village Hall. Our training**
**side has six volunteers (KM, CP, KF, JH, AS, CL), who**
**regularly provide rescue dog behaviour management,**
**training and education to dog owners and members**
**of the public.**
**Very grateful thanks must go to two further**
**volunteers (CC & NR), who organised and ran two**
**fundraising dog shows for the purpose of raising**
**money.**
**The following volunteers provided tombola’s for**
**fund-raising events (SW & SH).**
**A number of further volunteers aided our work as**
**Charity Partners for Pets at Home by providing a**
**public presence at the store to provide a focus for**
**raising funds (LK, KM, SW, SH, CL, CP, KF, AP, CL,**
**AP, JC, DN).**|
|Other||**In addition to helping so much with fundraising, NR**
**rehomed 12 small dogs for K-9RR following the death**
**of one of our most fervent supporters in January**
**2024).**|

**management training and education to**
**over 40 rescue dog owners over the year.**
**Our aim, in providing this training, is to**
**prevent owners giving up on their rescue**
**dogs and placing them back into the**
**rescue system.**
**One of our rescues Leiki and his owner**
**(BP) began (and will shortly be**
**concluding training), to learn to scent**
**synthetic DNA to assist Police in**
**recovery of stolen goods. K-9RR has**
**assisted in paying for this training and**
**continues to support his socialisation as**
**this was one of his issues.**
**K-9 Rescue Remedy has rehomed a total**
**42 dogs during this year. Many of these**
**dogs continue to come to training with**
**us. We have been told by their owners**
**that our training has made a huge**
**difference for the better to both the dogs**
**and their owners.**|
