Charity Number: 1173057 Trustees: Norman Mackie Nigel Morgan Shaun Bishop Gerald Crossley Charity’s Principal Address: 9 Wellmeadow Lane Uppermill Oldham OL3 6DT Description of the Charity’s Trust: Type of governing document: Constitution adopted 31 October 2016 How the Charity is constituted: The Charitable Incorporated Organisation was registered with the Charity Commission on 16 May 2017. Stalybridge Celtic Foundation was established to take over the work previously carried out by ‘Stalybridge Celtic in the Community’ an unincorporated charity. Following registration all assets of Stalybridge Celtic in the Community were transferred to Stalybridge Celtic Foundation. The charity changed its working name to Stalybridge Celtic Community Foundation in November 2022. Trustee selection method: Trustees appointed for a term of three years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the charity trustees.

In the provision of community activities and projects by working with clubs, schools, and organisations

in the interest of social welfare for recreation or leisure time occupation of individuals who have need

of such facilities by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their condition of life.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objectives.

In planning our activities, we keep in mind to provide opportunities for people of all ages to participate

in football-based community activities regardless of race, religion, and background.

We aim to work in not only Stalybridge but surrounding areas and Tameside in general.

Summary of the main achievements of the Charity during the period.

Despite applying for numerous funding opportunities during the period the Foundation was

unsuccessful on each application. As a result, the trustees took the decision to defer applying for future

funding during the current financial period.

Brief statement of the Charity’s policy on reserves.

We have sufficient funds (although minimal) to operate in the short term and will continue

making efforts to secure further funding opportunities.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF STALYBRIDGE CELTIC COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR THE YEAR ENDED 28[TH] FEBRUARY 2023

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Stalybridge Celtic Community Foundation (the Trust) for the year ended 28[th] February 2023.

Responsibilities and basis of report.

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5) (b) of the Act.

Independent examiners statement.

I have completed the examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that, in any material respect:

(1) accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act. or

(2) the accounts do not accord with those records: or

I have no concern and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
