Annual Report up to 31/08/20
2019/2020 has been a difficult period for the Alderney West Youth Club. It was slowly building regular attendance up to previous levels when the Covid-19 pandemic struck and effectively shut down all activities (and made Trustee meetings difficult). It was closed from February till June, with a few outdoor only activities taking place over the summer before the second and third lockdowns struck. As a result, there is very little to report. There has been no general meeting as not everyone is confident or competent with Zoom, but basic bills have been paid and CRB checks updated as needed.
The future of the club, and new or continuing Officers and Trustees will be determined at a meeting once a semblance of normality returns.

In September 2019 we had a change in the number of children attending the Youth Club,
We found ourselves in the position where the older children had finished Secondary school and moving onto college and new friends. So, we had just before September a Farwell summer party during normal opening hour. Then in September we had a new rush of local young children, with the help of advertisement at a local school, Manorside Academy.
This new group where every energetic and wanted to have ago of all we offered, keen to join in, plus offer their own ideas, all was going well up to March 2020. Once we closed, we tried to look at reopening during Lockdowns a couple of times with invited children to control numbers. But we were unable to offer this support and felt lost and useless unable to help where we could see it was needed. Help from local and national guidance was just not there for small group like us.
