**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY OF THE TOWN OF CHADDERTON, ITS NEIGHBOURHOOD AND PEOPLE IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:- PROVIDING LECTURES, PUBLICATIONS, DISPLAYS AND EXHIBITIONS; - ENCOURAGING PRACTICAL HISTORICAL RESEARCH INTO CHADDERTONÆS PAST; - COLLECTING AND PRESERVING ARTEFACTS, PHOTOGRAPHS, ARCHIVES, DOCUMENTS AND OTHER MATERIALS RELATING TO THE HISTORY OF CHADDERTON AND ITS NEIGHBOURHOOD FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT; AND- MAKING SUCH RESOURCES AVAILABLE FOR STUDY BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

**Activities:** To promote the History and Heritage of the Town of Chadderton by means of Education in respect of our monthly meetings, visits out, various lectures/talks throughout the year and occasional exhibits of our vast collections and artefacts.We also give out side talks to schools and various other groups within Chadderton and beyond.Our ultimate aim has always been to run a small heritage centre.
