The Martin Roberts Foundation is the brainchild of TV presenter Martin Roberts as a vehicle to raise money to support carefully selected educational and well-being initiatives for children and young people. As a long- time supporter and campaigner for the NSPCC, Martin set up the charity to help address the need for ongoing awareness of charities like Childline amongst children and young people. This was the provision of a grant of £3000 to the Young People's Puppet Theatre for them to work with young people to create a staged puppet show version of the story of Sadsville, to be performed within a schools to help more children access the message of the Sadsville book.
