Aims and Purposes

The Lord Reigns International Ministry (LORIM) has the duty of propagating the mission of the Church such as evangelism, sharing the Gospel of Christ, attending to the sick and the disabled and to advance Christianity.

Objectives and Activities

The LORIM is committed to equip as many people as possible to become soul winners and to worship at our church and to become part of our church community. The LORIM maintains an overview of worship throughout the local community near our church and involving as many groups as possible throughout the whole of England. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer, bible study, music ministry, sharing the gospel and mini concerts all over London.

When planning our activities for the year, the LORIM is strictly guided by the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and, in particular, the specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. We enable the members to live out their faith as part of our Christian community through:

Worship and prayer; learning about the Word of God through the Bible; equipping the members to become soul winners; attending to the spiritual upliftment of those who are sick, disabled and have less in life.

Provision of pastoral care for people who work and live near the Church. Missionary and outreach work.

To facilitate this work it is important that we adopt the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ while living here on earth and maintain the fabric of the Church of LORIM.

Achievements and Performance

The LORIM service is still consolidated to one location with the goal in view of concentrating efforts towards evangelisation and winning of souls via online platform through social media. We see it fitting that with social media, we can reach as many souls as we can and at the same time minimise cost without necessarily jeopardizing our mission and goal. Our current location is at Berkeley road London NW1 8YR concurrently used with the Baptist Church by way of a contract of lease for the use at a specified day and time, of the Church building owned and operated by the local Baptist church. The Church operation is pastored by the head pastor Pstr. Reymundo Gamboa.

This year membership number has grown high, and we persistently aim to reach more people and to evangelise them by making Church service and bible studies more accessible. Our church is

operating through the graces and generosity of its members and the selfless voluntary service of its officers especially the pastor.

LORIM is also keen to offer a range of activities throughout the week and the course of the year that our church find both beneficial and spiritually fulfilling. Such as Bible Study every Wednesday or Friday via social media, prayer meetings every Saturday also through social media, although temporarily suspending mini concert at open public spaces for now. Future goal is to visit more places for purposes of evangelisation and at the same retreat and water baptism for new members. This is made possible with the help of our 2 minibuses used for this purpose and at the same for transporting members during Sunday service. Projected activities include track giving and encouragement to people to attend church service as part of street evangelisation.

This year we have recruited more families to our church and have added more schedules for bible study and prayer meetings. This has meant that special arrangements were made to facilitate for more baptisms throughout the year.

All are welcome to attend our regular services. While the church is consistently growing and becoming significant in the community, at present we have more or less remained at 100 church members on the Church Electoral Roll. 20 names were added during the year. The average weekly attendance counted during December 2023 has become static, averaging 30 attendees for every service but this number increases at Church Anniversaries, Family days, festivals such as Christmas and New Year.

On top of our regular services, our church is also authorised to do baptism where we thank God for the gift of life, marriage ceremonies where public vows are exchanged and blessing of God shared, as well as funeral services where friends and family express their grief and prayer for the redemption of souls . We have celebrated none of them for the year.

In pursuit of achieving the aim of widening the scope of the Church activities with more attendees, more Christian converts or devotees, the Church is blest with 2 minibus vehicles which can carry 15 passengers each and help transport members and officers to and fro prayer meetings and bible studies with special provision for members with disability. All of these were made possible by the generosity of members and officers while the Church cannot yet afford to acquire one out of their own budget.

Mission and Evangelism

Our mission is to advance Christianity is such ways as we see appropriate under the circumstance such as to pastor to every person to receive Jesus Christ as Saviour; to evangelise souls and equipping them to fulfil their divine destinies in Christ Jesus, to go out and bear fruit and ensure that the fruit remains; to conquer the enemy (the Devil) by healing the sick, deliverance, inner healing

and teaching the Word of God; to establish a place of worship; and to pray for and win unbelievers into the faith.

Track giving or evangelisation efforts is currently suspended especially inviting people to the church, in nearby public places frequented by people such as the areas of Chalkfarm where the Church building is located.

Financial Review

Our church is slowly establishing financial stability with contributions coming from both officers and members. Our church cannot afford to maintain paid personnel as yet nor are we prepared to engage any form of employment. Inspite our limitations, our church has slowly achieved a level of success in its efforts to spread the good news about the Word of God and invite people to join us in our worship and evangelism works. We are slowly increasing in number and strengthening our member’s determination to evangelise souls and to win as many people into the Christian faith. Our current goal is just to make sure that rent is updated and the minibus is well maintained.

Volunteers

We thank all the volunteers who work selflessly to make our Church become more effective in evangelising souls and administering the Word of God to those who have no personal relationships with Christ and in recruiting more people into the Christian faith. These volunteers have made our church alive, full of activities and inspiring. We also thank them for putting efforts to make our service lively and vibrant without any promise of reward or compensation but purely on serving God out of love.

Structure, governance and management

The method of appointment of charity trustees is set out in the governing document of the trust. The board of trustees of LORIM or The Lord Reigns International Ministry consists of the incumbent Head Pastor, Managing Trustee, Secretary, Treasurer and 1 other trustee. The Managing Trustee and President at the same time is elected by the majority of the board of trustees.

The board of trustees is responsible for making decisions on all matters of general concern and importance to the church including deciding on how the funds of the church are to be spent.

Given the board’s wide responsibilities, the LORIM has a number of committees each dealing with a particular aspect of ministry life. These committees include worship team, music ministry, missions, evangelism, logistics and finance. They are all responsible to the board and regularly report
