Trustees report.
To the Trustees dismay payment due from Barclays (£500)had not materialised by the end of December 2025. This, in spite of numerous further applications and visits to June 2025 that the new account Barclays Bank plc. However, we were notified on 11[th] was open. .
The Trustees with a bank account at last, embarked on the planning for a fundraising dinner here in Suffolk. The menu will be created by acclaimed chef, Frederick Foster who is originally from Sierra Leone. We are looking at various venues in Suffolk and hope for at least 75 attendees. This is planned for November 2026. All profits will go to the Edward Kargbo Trust for distribution to the cottage maternity hospital in Freetown. We hope that this will be the first of many events to raise money for our charity.
As explained in the Trustees report attached we have been waiting for the £550 held by Barclays Bank when they closed the charity’s original bank account. We therefore have no accounts to submit.
