Trustee’s Report October 2022
The ZimProject Trustee’s Report 2022
Introduction
2022 has been a good year. We have managed to do more of what we normally do now that life is returning to normal after the pandemic.
Students
Our students are all doing well. They are passing their respective exams and moving forward.
FUELED Monthly Event
We have not yet reinstated FUELED as there are still restrictions on large gatherings and we need to re-establish a team to run it.
Lasting Impressions Leadership Camp
Lasting Impressions welcomed us back after missing 2 years of leadership camp trips. The students had a great time. It was meaningful and had a huge impact on the students as it usually does, but also more so this year after the lockdown. The teachers also were able to observe good leadership skills among the A’level students and use it to help determine prefects and headboy and headgirl.
Zim Trip 2022
No trip was made this year as time is needed to raise a team and funds for a trip.
Finances
This year we have continued to pay fees and also support the soup kitchen started during the lockdown for street kids. One of the kids who wished to be fostered continues to be supported through sponsorship.
Letters and Communication
Communication between sponsors and students via letters remains the same. There has not been an increase or a decrease. Ideally we would like more communication but this has not been the case this year. We aim to encourage more letter writing in the next year.
Thank you
We would like to thank all of you for supporting us this year. It is good to be back after lockdown and see the students enjoying camp. Thank you for supporting us with fundraising for that and for all your help. We look forward to doing more in the new year. THank you for your consistent support with sponsoring our students. You have not stopped or given up on them and this means EVERYTHING to them. You are changing a life for the better and permanently. For this, we can never thank you enough.
