Our male helmsman is a non-**<br>**cancer volunteer who is also a**<br>**Coach/Trainer.  We benefit from**<br>**countless hours of help from our**<br>**families, friends and local businesses**<br>**who continually support and strengthen**<br>**our team whether at home or abroad.**|

To that end we**<br>**employed the services of a GB coach**<br>**who gave members individual feedback.**<br>**Improvements in performance were**<br>**evident when two Pink Champagne**<br>**teams went to the international dragon**<br>**boat festival in Barcelona and we won a**<br>**silver medal.**<br>**In addition, we joined the Bournemouth**<br>**Outriggers Canoe Club, to provide**<br>**additional training opportunities for our**<br>**members and gain experience of**<br>**paddling on the open sea.**<br>**In May and June, we had reciprocal**<br>**paddling sessions with the Swanage Gig**<br>**Rowing Club.  This facilitated us**<br>**spreading the awareness of undertaking**<br>**exercise after breast cancer surgery and**<br>**also providing members with the**<br>**opportunity to have an alternative**<br>**paddling/ rowing experience.**<br>**The above events benefit our members**<br>**through improved physical fitness and**<br>**endurance, wellbeing and support for**<br>**each other as Breast Cancer survivors.**<br>**In August, we organised a sponsored**<br>**marathon paddle through Christchurch**<br>**and up and down the River Stour. It was**<br>**arranged to coincide with the annual**<br>**Christchurch Carnival whose committee**<br>**we worked very closely with and Pink**<br>**Champagne was selected as one of its**<br>**chosen charities to sponsor. We also**<br>**partook of the carnival parade and were**<br>**awarded first prize for our entry which**<br>**included towing a dragon boat through**<br>**Christchurch.**<br>**In October, we arranged for the**<br>**following buildings to be lit up in Pink**<br>**lights: Sherborne Abbey, Wimborne**<br>**Minster, The Priory Christchurch, the**<br>**library at Bournemouth University and**<br>**the Ferris Wheel on the Bournemouth**|





**seafront. We have established a Donations page and increased our profile by setting up an Instagram page and regularly updating our Facebook profile. We have used these fundraising events as an opportunity to raise awareness of breast cancer and the side effects of treatment such as Lymphoedema. Dragon boating helps to reduce the impact of these side effects on our members’ lives.**

## Report on the Financial Statements for the year ended 31.12.2024 

To the members of the Pink Champagne Breast Cancer Survivors Dragon Boat Team, 

I have examined the financial statements of the Pink Champagne Breast Cancer Survivors Dragon Boat Team (the “Team”), which comprise the statement of income and expenditure, balance sheet, and the notes to the financial statements for the year ended 31.12.2024 

This report is made solely to the Team’s members in accordance with the terms of our engagement. My examination has been conducted in accordance with applicable standards, including the relevant procedures and requirements for independent examination, and it is my responsibility to report on the financial statements. This report is solely for the benefit of the Team and should not be used for any other purpose. 

## Responsibilites of the Team 

The members of the Team are responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations, and for ensuring that the financial statements present a true and fair view of the Team’s financial position and activities for the year. They are also responsible for maintaining adequate accounting records and safeguarding assets. 

## Basis of Independent Examiner’s Report 

My examination has been carried out in accordance with the applicable standard for independent examinations. This includes making inquiries, examining records, and reviewing the accounting policies and practices adopted by the Team, as well as other relevant information. I have not carried out an audit and, therefore, I do not express an audit opinion. 

## Independent Examiner’s Statement 



In the course of my examination, I have not come across any material matters which would suggest that the financial statements do not provide a true and fair view of the Team’s financial position and its results of operations for the year. 

I confirm that: 

- The financial records and statements have been prepared in accordance with the applicable guidelines. 

- The statements reflect the income and expenditure for the year accurately. 

- The statement of assets and liabilities provides a true and fair representation of the Team’s assets and liabilities. 

Based on my examination, I believe the financial statements provide a true and fair view of the Team’s financial affairs. 

Conclusion 

I am satisfied that the financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the applicable regulations and provide a true and fair view of the financial position of the Pink Champagne Breast Cancer Survivors Dragon Boat Team for the year ended 31.12.2024. No further matters have come to my attention that would require additional disclosure. 

This report is prepared for the sole use of the Team’s members. No other person should rely on it.
