The<br>Contribution made by  Board of Trustees is entirely<br>volunteers made up of volunteers who are<br>also members and have<br>experience of Breast Cancer.  Our<br>female helms are also from our<br>membership and volunteers<br>whom we have financed in<br>training.  Our male helmsman is a<br>non-cancer volunteer who is also<br>now a Coach/Trainer.  We benefit<br>from countless hours of help from<br>our families, friends and local<br>businesses who continually<br>support and strengthen our team<br>whether at home or abroad.<br>We also benefit from being able<br>**----- End of picture text -----**<br>




**to use the Hengistbury Head Outdoor Centre where we store our boats and the Adult Sailors Club who supply us with a Safety Boat during the winter months.**

## **Achievements and Performance**

SORP reference<br>In May we held a fund-raising<br>event, the Moon Paddle, which<br>coincided with The London Moon<br>Summary of the main<br>Para 1.20S Walk. We paddled for 26 miles<br>achievements of the<br>over a period of 12 hours and the<br>charity, identifying the<br>difference the charity’s  Team raised funds via<br>work has made to the  sponsorship. This was both an<br>circumstances of its  excellent team event and<br>beneficiaries and any  increased our profile locally in<br>wider benefits to society<br>both the private and business<br>as a whole.<br>community.<br>In June we took several new<br>members to Venice to take part in<br>the racing on the open sea and<br>also paddled 35k the following<br>day in the Vogalonga, a<br>celebration of the Venetian<br>waterways.   It was a tremendous<br>experience for them forging<br>friendships within.<br>We attended the National<br>Championships in Nottingham.<br>We also took part in the Henley<br>Winter Series paddling 7.5km,<br>another great experience for our<br>new members.<br>The above events benefit our<br>members through improved<br>physical fitness and endurance,<br>wellbeing and support for each<br>other as Breast Cancer survivors.<br>We have raised significant funds<br>for our Charity via the following<br>events:<br>Moon Paddle<br>Christmas Party<br>Raffling a donated blanket<br>Our fundraising events are crucial<br>to keep us afloat.<br>**----- End of picture text -----**<br>




**We have established a Donations page and increased our profile by setting up an Instagram page and regularly updating our Facebook profile. We have used these fundraising events as an opportunity to raise awareness of breast cancer and the side effects of treatment such as Lymphoedema.  Dragon boating helps to reduce the impact of these side effects on our members’ lives.**

## **Financial Review**
