The trustees are pleased to present their report for 2025.

1. It is now five years since the new Community Centre opened in March 2021.

2. Income from bookings was £2162. The Centre now has a number of regular users as well as bookings for parties, meetings etc. We reduced hire costs to encourage more use. This increased bookings but reduced income.

3. The main running costs continue to be utilities and insurance. We have a regular cleaner which has added to our costs but is considered essential to keep the Centre in good condition. We have received grants from Hunsonby Parish Council and the Hutchinson Trust which are much appreciated.

4. The major project last year was to replace the metal fence. The loan for this has now been repaid. We would like to redecorate the hall which is showing signs of wear after 5 years.

5. At the year-end we had £3124 in our accounts and a loan for the fence of £1540. The loan was repaid in early 2026.

6. The Jubilee Garden continues to be maintained by Chris and Jas, for which our thanks. Tree work will be carried out on 24[th] March 2026.

7. We held another successful Plant Sale and plan to do the same again in 2026. The Local History Weekend in Jan 2026 was a success being well attended and raised £915. We plan to arrange a series of talks in the autumn.

8. We are grateful to all our supporters, to the local community, and for the continuing support of Hunsonby Parish Council and the Joseph Hutchinson Educational Trust.

9. We welcomed Tracey Holliday to the committee this year and are grateful to everyone for their support.
