Objectives and Activities

SORP reference
Summary of the purposes of
the charity as set out in its
governing document
Para 1.17 We believe that every one of the UK’s
16.1m people with disabilities have their
own unique superpowers. And we’re here
to help unleash them! Our mission is to
remove the barriers to participation these
‘Everyday Superheroes’ face every day.
With your support, we can give more
people than ever the belief, tools and
opportunities to enjoy the life-changing
power of sport.
Summary of the main
activities in relation to those
purposes for the public
benefit, in particular, the
activities, projects or
services identified in the
accounts.
Para 1.17 and
1.19
Super schools:It’s crucial that every
school child is introduced to sport in the
right way, with the right attitude, using the
right vocabulary. We work with experts in
different fields to develop a range of
inclusive programmes, events and services
that can be used by schools to ignite a
passion for life. Winter Wonderwheels
powered by Marvel – supported by
Superhero Series is just one of those
events that bring Charities, SEN schools,
adult learning centres, communities and
families together through the power of
sport. As individuals or in teams, the event
encapsulates the very essence of 100%
inclusive sporting activity.
Advancing amateur sport:We want to
extend these skills and knowledge to sports
clubs, coaches, volunteers, charities and
families in the wider community by
providing all kinds of fun and innovative
training, taster and awareness sessions to
help make inclusivity the norm.
The gift of grants:We will provide
financial support to organisations and
individuals to enable them to participate in
sports events, have access to specialist
equipment and support to deliver the
programmes, services and events that will
benefit their goals and aims.
Statement confirming
whether the trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit
Para 1.18 The trustees of Superhero Sport
Foundation have complete commitment to
the Charity Commission statement on
public benefit and the measures that are in
place. We believe that our mission to
create access to full throttle, 100%
inclusive sport completely aligns itself with
the Commissions stance and we will
continue to uphold those values in order to
complete of missions.

Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 Superhero Sport foundation aligned it’s
missions with Superhero Series during this
financial period. The foundations aim was
to bring together communities across the
country by subsidising access to 100%
inclusive sport. Our main mission was to
get a many SEN Schools both children and
adults alike, to get involved in sport either
at home/school or at an in person event.
At Home Superheroes & At Home Winter
Wonderwheels.
The At Home activations are fabulous as
this allows our community of Superheroes
and Sidekicks to get involved from where
ever they are. The objective is to collate
any distances they achieve on a daily basis
over the course of a month and add it to a
team total. This contributes to a ‘Virtual’
around the world ‘race’ tally which is led by
4 Everyday Superheroes and supported by
their Sidekicks. Each Superhero and
Sidekick receives a Medal/T-shirt/Race
Number /Finish line tape and the
community communicates through the
various social media platforms. Superhero
Sport Foundation purchased a package
with Superhero Series which facilitated the
places which were then donated to the
organisations of the foundations choice.
We achieved 623 places being donated
which also had some families for the first
time taking part in sport.
Superhero Tri & Winter Wonderwheels
In addition supporting race places being
activated as above, the ‘live’ events brings
the community together in a unique way.
Superhero Series have Celebrities with
disabilities join forces with Every day
Superheroes along with their Sidekicks
forming teams which then together race
around Dorney lake with Superhero Tri
being staged over three different activities.
Swim/Tow – Run/Push – Cycling/push/run.
Superhero Sport Foundation also used its
Partnership with Superhero Series to
donate buses and a pack lunch to
breakdown the cost of access sport to

underprivileged families whom have a member with a disability of any kind . This was a huge success and achieved a further 728 Superheroes being exposed to live sport. Community benefit. There is no doubting the impact Superhero Sport Foundation is having on the disability community across the UK and as Superhero Tri is also televised on Channel 4 the spread of 100% inclusive sport is more than meeting the foundations objectives.
