Objects:
The objects of the charity are to establish and maintain a museum for the benefit of the people of Chesham and the wider area, and for visitors to the area. Through this to educate and expand knowledge of the area and its history.
Activities and Achievements (Year ended 31[st] March 2021):
For financial reasons the previous museum was closed, and the contents are in secure storage. Pending re-establishment of a ‘physical’ museum, our focus has been on furthering the understanding of the artefacts through an online presence, and through occasional exhibitions. We also have a series of ‘storyboards’ at places through the town illustrating aspects of local history.
During the year various activities have occurred:
-
Maintaining and adding to storyboards
-
Annual Quiz night
-
Walks and talks programme
-
Monthly market stall.
Address: During the period the museum is in storage enquiries should be addressed through the website htps://cheshammuseum.org.uk/ or via the Treasurer at the address below.
Accounts:
The Trustees have approved the attached accounts for the year ended 31[st] March 2021. The AGM is scheduled for xxx at Chesham Town Hall where these accounts will be ratified.
