The purpose of Seed Studios CIO is to promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society by providing a community music and arts service. 

We have sought to prevent social exclusion as a result of ill health (physical and mental) through two main activities.

## Section D                      Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

Using music as a tool we have empowered and enabled around 100 individuals to grow in confidence and resilience, equipping them to have a better chance in life with a variety of life skills including communication. We have supported these people to develop connections, contributing to a stronger community and reducing individual occurrences of social isolation as well as tackling stigma through public performances. The user group is made up of adults from the Trafford Borough who have been referred to us in different ways including self-referral and GP signposting as a result of a range of health difficulties particularly mental health issues and isolation. In addition, we have offered volunteering opportunities to the public. due to COVID-19 and the safety restrictions which we put in place considering the infection rates allot of our work have been carried out online, including online public performances and online workshops. When restrictions allowed, we also did workshops outside following social distancing rules.
