Leicester Caribbean Cricket & Social Club remains true to its objective of promoting community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for playing cricket and providing opportunity for creative engagement among the diverse ethnic, cultural and religious groups.
Activities:

We have maintained our pursuit in cricket development and accessibility.

Two adult teams represented in the Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket League

Weekly programme of coaching for children and young persons

Continued community engagement through weekly usage of facilities

Weekly Sunday fixture which brings together people of all ages, abilities & the wider community

Celebrated and highlighted the contributions of local people as part of the Windrush annual celebration. This was the third year of the competition between 5 cities (i.e. Leicester, Birmingham, Bristol, Coventry and Nottingham). The purpose of the competition was to revive cricket in the Caribbean community and bring communities across the cities together. Each city hosted the monthly event with the final being played in Bristol. Feedback from all was very positive.

Organised and successfully held our 4th commemorative event which has become an annual event in September. Local community with family members attended. Recognised individuals that have been at the forefront since the formation of the club.

Other social activities, i.e. face painting, dominoes, bouncy castle, pool, table tennis

Programme to improve the facilities ongoing. Working Party continue to drive forward the improvements required to drive the club forward.

Sir Clive Lloyd is the Patron of the Cricket Club

The year saw us host local community fun day events (with an emphasis on introduction to the game) and, friendly cricket matches at local. Regional and at international levels.
