The trustees are: Robert Yorke (chair), Oliver Fairclough (treasurer), Mrs F J Maitland-Jones, Rupert Edwards and Denva Green.
No trustees left or joined the board of the charity during 2021-2022.
The trustees hold an annual general meeting once a year, and meet informally at fortnightly church services. Any member of the congregation is welcome to become a trustee.
During the year, the charity received an individual donation of £10,000 from a parishioner, another gift of £230, and a small interest payment on its banked funds. No formal AGM was held during the year, but the trustees met remotely by Zoom, and reviewed their procedures and strategy.
The trustees opened a cash account (in addition to the Gold savings account already held at the CAF Bank), and as agreed during the previous reporting period and in accordance with our reserves policy, we proceeded to invest £40,000 of our funds in the SUTL Cazenove Charity Responsible MultiAsset Fund. The value of this investment was £43,192 on 4 April 2022.
Indoor church services resumed, and the building remained open to visitors throughout the year.
The purpose of the charity is ‘the advancement of religion and heritage by preserving and safeguarding the structure of St Issui’s Church, Patricio.’ Happily, as the church still remains in good repair, there was no call on the charity’s funds during the year.
