## **Objects of the organisation**
The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in particular by the provision of facilities for the playing of wheelchair rugby in Halton and the surrounding areas.

Year 2021 as we was still in crisis with the Covid-19 pandemic, our usual activities were slightly different to previous years. We have still continued our work in the Community with our Diversity and Inclusion sessions. There was no league games 2021 however we did manage to take part in 2 friendly games in Halifax and Hereford under Covid guidelines. We have had some more organisations involved with the Bedington branch Scouts and Cubs and a Widnes branch of Scouts and Cubs and we have had some positive feedback from the leaders. Because of Covid we was unable to take part in the homeless national games in 2021 as these were cancelled in the hope they can return to action in 2022.
We carry on with our involvement with schools and the local rugby club the Vikings. We hope to soon be working with the learning disability rugby league team. Negotiations are still ongoing as Covid prevented us from been able to hold face to face meetings, we are hoping to be holding meetings with all parties in the coming months. We also try and educate people not to use the discription disabled. It means you cannot do certain things. A more fitting description is capabilities. Everyone on the planet has different capabilities.
We are still continuing to work with local companies and businesses to get them involved more. We have again received continued support from Vision Express in Widnes who have also supported us financially and bought the team kit for 2022.l
We are still working on developing a session package to deliver to local schools in Halton to increase diversity and inclusion to their pupils.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31st December 2021, which are set out on pages 4 to 7
## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and the examiner**
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
- q examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act:
q to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and
- q to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
## **Basis of Independent examiner's report**
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view' and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
## **Independent examiner's statement**
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
- 1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
q to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; and
- q to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act
have not been met; or
- 2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **1 Accounting Policies**
## **a Basis of accounting**
The Trustees have taken advantage of section 42 (3) of the Charities Act 2011 and have prepared the accounts on a receipts and payments basis.
## **b Taxation**
As a registered charity the organisation benefits from rates relief and is generally exempt from income tax and capital gains tax but not from VAT. Irrecoverable VAT is included in the cost of those items to which it relates.
## **c Fund accounting**
Funds held by the charity are either:
## **Unrestricted general funds**
These are funds which can be used in accordance with the charitable objects at the discretion of the trustees.
## **Restricted funds**
These are funds that can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
## **Designated funds**
These are funds set aside by the trustees out of unrestricted general funds for specific future purposes or projects.
