Ob'ectives and activities
To maintain preserve and manage for the public benefit the area
known as Wayford Rhododendron Woods in the County of Somerset.
To provide facilities for leisure time occupation in the interests of
social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life of the
public at large particularly by granting public access subject to such rules
and regulation8 as the Trustees shall from time to time prescribe and at
such times of day and of year as the Trustees (having in mind the
preservation and improvement of the Woods) decide from time lo time.

Having regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on
public benefit, the trustees have followed a policy of maintaining fullest
possible public access to the Woods, in particular by continuing to
upgrade pathways to be all-weather and wheelchair accessible.
The trustees have also followed a policy of trea and shrub planting and
re-planting where necessary for the preservation and improvérnent of the
condition of the Wood8.
