the love of Jesus for the benefit of the
public in Chessington, Epsom, Kingston-
upon-Thames and the surrounding areas
in accordance with the statements of belief
appearing in schedule 1.
In order to advance the Christian faith, in
addition to living out, sharing and
demonstrating the love of Christ, we
undertake the following:
1. Seek to advance the Christian faith
and engage more people in following
the Christian faith by making Bibles
and Christian literature available.
Distributing this both door to door and
making it available in the community
centre and other public spaces.
2. Offer free transport to those wishing
to attend worship services, Bible
studies and church events, including
educational, social and spiritual
activities for people of all ages.
3. Undertake personal Bible study with
beneficiaries who wish to take part in
such acts of worship corporately or
individually.
4. Through all the above, improve the
moral and ethical framework of the
lives of people of all ages, and also
the moral and ethical framework of
the local surrounding communities
within which we work.

youth, age, ill health, social or economic
circumstances or other disadvantage by
the provision of services designed to
improve their life skills, employment
opportunities and reduce their social
isolation and through sharing the love of

We started the year with 20 active
volunteers and continue to have 17 in place.
We are hugely grateful for the great
investment of time our volunteers make to
engage with people outside of their normal
sphere. This brings increased relationship,
kindness, peace and community to a host of

**Mens Shed**
Twice each week on a Tuesday and
Wednesday our Mens shed opens for a day.
It is hugely popular and sees 17 men come
together in community.
Housed in a portacabin alongside The Kings
Centre in Chessington we are both at the
heart of the community and the heart of
Church life.
One beneficiary who uses the service
described the impact on him as “life
changing” at a local council meeting in 2023.
The ability to get friendship and kindness
from people who know they too are weak
and yet loved by the Lord Jesus is
transformative.| **Community Garden** Although time investment is limited the garden space was able to be enjoyed throughout the summer. We had our own Garden tea party in July which was really well attended and a lovely day. Dressed with bunting the garden looked amazing. We are so grateful to the volunteers for bringing their beneficiaries and for the team from Men’s shed. **Befriending** Although a modest size we are always grateful for the huge impact the befriending service has on the individuals it serves. 6 new referrals in 2023 that we were able to accept. We saw 2 of our beneficiaries die through the year. At the end of the year we had 20 beneficiaries being visited by the team of volunteers. We are very privileged to be able to go into peoples homes and build meaningful friendships with them. Many have been supported to get out to community events, coffee shops, church services and Sharing Lives events. We thank God for the impact the service has. **2023 Time line for Sharing Lives:** 14th January 2023 Safeguarding Training 28th January - Trustee's Meeting 9th February - Operations Meeting 4th March - Volunteers morning tea 16th April - Beneficiaries Tea 13th May - Trustees meeting 22nd June - Operations meeting Saturday 8th July - Garden Tea Party 30th September - Trustees Meeting 9th December - Mens shed stall in TKC Christmas Market event 17th December - Sharing Lives tea with KCC carol service.
