Chalrnian's foreword for the EDCCA Annual Report
For th• year ended 31 March 2024
I'm very pleased to be able to introduce this Annual Report for our tharlty.
It has been yet another very busy tlffle for EDCCA. Thls year we have seen our Men's Shed
and the Poppets play 8roup successfully start thelr reSpeC￿Ve actlvltles. As you wlll see from
the excellent reportfrom our Chlefofficer, DI Watklns, we have also been able to contfnue to
provlde a very wlde range of servlces In our communSty.
The Poppets play group along wlth our varlous projects to allevlate food poverty hwe enabled
DCCA to extend help to a wlder cr055 secilon of local people.
The financlal report from our Treasurer, Jame5 Ratcllff, hl8hllghts the financlal posltlon of
EDCCA. We are In a strong financlal posltlon, but as wlth all chailtles, challenges Ile ahead and
the conttnued sUPPOrt from our local communlty and donations wlll be vltsl.
To malntaln the 8ood V￿rk of EDCCA there Is a huge amount of hard work, often In the
back8round. I would Ilke to express slncere thanks to our volunteers, staff and trustees
without whom EDCCA would not be able to contlnue Its work for our communlty.

We attracted more new volunteers, some of whom were new to Easingwold, wanted to do their bit and
they have stepped forward with enthusiasm and determination and have delivered 11,800 hours of
volunteering.
Using the National Living Wage hourly rate of £10.42 we were able to assign a figure of £122,956 this year
to voluntary effort. We tould not operate our services without volunteers and are very grateful for the
commitment and dedication they give to our organisation and our communitv.
