The Cheswardine Charity (2017) Charity number 1172514 ANNUAL REPORT 202412025 The Cheswardine Charity (2017) came into being on 10.04.2017 following the amalgamation of several older charities whose common aim was to support the 'poor of the parish,. Since 20 15 potential trustees had discussed how best to distribute those charities, monies: it was agreed to liquidate shares held, deposit the cash in the Charity's current account, and open a linked deposit account. Six trustees were appointed in 20 17 comprising A Churchwarden O The Team Rector 0 One other from the PCC Three from the wider community with the option to co-opt as necessary. -. The Charity's object is The relief of hardship or need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial or other disadvantage for those living within the parish of Cheswardine or who, in the opinion of the Trustees, have a strong conncction with Cheswardine, by addressing both the causes and the consequences of that hardship. This will be enabled through Grants of money Provision of goods O Payment of services The promotion of social inclusion through counselling and provision of appropriate facilities. Activity The trustees have met twice this year. Despite publicising the ch￿lty regularly there has been no uptake. Various suggestions have been floated such as a general grant to primary school leaver families or a possible village outing for families/elderly. We will continue to try and identify needs that could be addressed. Judy Udale stood down as contact for Banking and Charity Commissioners and was succeeded by Barnaby Reeve. The process of changing mandates etc has just about been completed. Financial Status As of 15th August funds stand at £1,397.2 1 in the Current account and £4 1,719.66 in the Savings account. We received a donation of £200 to be used for anyone in need of a winter fuel payment. 7th October 2025
