are mainly housing associations,
public health departments, the police
and violence reduction units.
This year has included detailed
planning for a Community
Engagement Summit to be held in
Exeter in September 2022. This will
bring together a diverse range of
people and organisations, providing a
mix of theory and practical examples
of C2NN’s work. It is also an
opportunity for the sharing of ideas,
and personal networking.
Our Chair, Hazel Stuteley, is seeking a
less hands-on role whilst remaining
fully committed to C2NN’s continuing
work. We are working collectively to
effect a seamless transition, which
includes developing roles for a wider
group of core people within C2NN.

pandemic have been incorporated into
this process.

grant funders either do not
understand or are unwilling to support
our ultra-local approach, which
intentionally rejects the time-limited,
project-management focus of typical
grant funding. We are aware of a
change of approach by a few funders,
who are looking for long-term
relationships with groups like us,
focussing on a shared ethos and
approach. We would consider such a
relationship, but at this stage have
made a strategic decision not to
actively seek grant funds.
