## **Our 2022 Season**

In 2022 we held seven concerts, with our season running from May to September. We decided to continue to keep our concerts ‘Covid-safe’ by restricting audience numbers for another year and by encouraging people to spread out. We did not serve refreshments in the interval.

Our concerts included several returning artists, often with different ensembles, and some who were new to the series.

4[th] May 2022 Daniel Tong, piano 18[th] June 2022 Tier Three Piano Trio 9[th] July 2022 Piano à Deux 29[th] July 2022 Andrew Long, violin, Ian Buckle, piano 13[th] August 2022 Mark Viner, piano 3[rd] September 2022 Ensemble la Notte 17[th] September 2022 Callum McLachlan, piano

All concerts were well attended, most reaching or coming close to the limit we set.

## **Finances**

Once again we received many donations, some as small top-ups on TicketSource, others as more substantial sums. A specific generous donation in 2022 enabled us to invite the Fitzwilliam String Quartet for our 2023 series.

## **Outreach**

Because of Covid recovery, it seemed prudent to wait before trying to resume visits to Care Homes and Schools.

## **Priorities for 2023/2024 and onwards**

At the time of writing our 2024 programme is finalised with a series of seven concerts and includes UK artists with considerable international reputations. This has only been made possible by generous gifts and sponsorship from individuals.

In late 2019 we were offered support for 12 months from the Coop Community Fund. This funding is specifically aimed at promoting the series to a much wider audience in and around Wensleydale and further developing community links. A few people have taken up the offer of free tickets in return for bringing an audience member with mobility issues, but much of the money remains to be spent.
