Objects and artlvlties The objects of the Charty are to further or benefft the residents of Holme and the neighbourhood. without distinction of se& sexual orientstion, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities. voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to adwance education and to provlde facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the obiectsve of improving the conditions of life for the residents. The charity was formed by the committee of Holme village Residents Association (HVRA) for the purpose of holding a property in the village of Holme. fomietly owned and occupied by the members of Holme Village Institute {HVI), in which the above objects could be achieved. The members of HVI had agreed to assist these airns by providing funds and donating its property and assets to the charity. This year has seen huge progress with the grand opening of the downstsirs on 28.9.24. Lots of progress has been made upstairs, taking down the unsafe chimney and making safe the chimney breast, tanking all the walls, erecting walling (ready for plastering) and all first fix elettric5 and plumbing.
