We did not have a large repair it? the year as we had in 2022 when a total of £19,194 was spent on repairing the Apse ofthe Wisdom of God. We re￿iVed a VAT repayment of £3.1￿ in 2023 in connection with this rep8ir cost which w8 had not accounted for In 2022. Overall there is an excess of Incorne over Expenditure for the Unrestricted Funds on pa9e 1 of £3.03012022- deficit of £2.1631. The Church Hall activities (shown under RÈsthctÈd Funds) showÈd an Èxcess of income of £4,85312022- Èxtsss of £7,883). The investm8nls held by CCLA show8d an increas8 in valu8 of £21,340 in 202312022- d8crease in valu8 of £29,614) Net Current Assets18ank balan￿S plu5 Gift Tax recoveiable less accwed costs and Funds) ha5 increased by £7.880 10 £79,235 in th8 year. This includ88 provisions for the Wisdom Stories Fund of £2,910, th8 Events Committee Fund Df £3,510 and the Coffè& Moming Fund of £457. On page 4 of the accounts, you will see Ihst the Regular Gift Aid donations have decreased by £3.321. However'occasional. Gift Aid has incr8288d by £2,891. This is due lo the way the Parish Giving Scheme donations have b88n accounl&d for. Donations frorn the W￿drUffe and Brash funds arnounted lo £15,9951£24,703 in 2022 which included amounts for th8 Apse repair workl. We are now payin9 Organisvs fee5 to Anthony Merrrweather- a contribut￿￿ is made from the Brash Fund relating lo th8 88Nic88 conducl8d at St Andr8WS. Utility costs have increased to £4.917 from £3.553 last ye3r lallhough the 2022 figure wa5 net of Gr3nts received).
