Objectives and activities
Education 4 Everyone pmmotes the education (including social and physical training) of people, of
any age, worldwide in such ways as the CP￿rIty trustees think fiL
In exercising their duty, the Charity T￿￿¢¢S have r¢vi¢wed that all their activities have due regard to
public benefit guidance published by the Cl)arities Comn)ission. The clwity benefits people of any
age, both in the UK and throughout the world who for whatever reason either do not receive an
education or are unable to take the m&Yimum benefit possible from the educational opportunÈti¢s they
receive.
BaTriers to Education
It became very clearly early on in 2020 that due to emerging and ongoing COV1D-19 pand¢mxc it
would be difficult for us to continue our support of small-scale educational projects overseas as
internallonal travel restrictions along with widespread global school cloSu￿S would make it near
imtK)ssible for the Charity to monitor thai fimds were being spent as intended. As a result the Trustees
suspended this part of the Charity's work early in 2020. This suspension was regularly reviewed
however remained in place for the remainder of the year.
Rangers Riding Ranch
This project continues to be established and will offer children and young people with additional
needs a non-¢lassroom based environment in which they can learn and develop a range of lifelong
transferable skills they will be able to use throughout thcxr liv¢s and in the workplace. There is a
wide body of research which shows that these skills can successfully be taught to these target groups
through conlact with horses helpin8 them both educationally and emotionally. It was agreed io
expand this work to include military velerans to help them provide them with the necessary skills to
transition back into civilian life.
Our services are kept under regular review and r¢-evaJuation.
Achievements and Perforniance- for the year ending 31" December 2020
Barriers to Education
For the re&80n outlined in the previous section this part of the CEwity'S work was suspended in 2020.
Rangers Riding Ranch
During 2020 the project was based at a shared yard in Hertfordshire. During this time both the horses
and staff continued the extensive training necessary to work with children and young people with
Additional Neelts as well as military veterdns. A fifth horse was donat¢d enabling the Project to plan
to widen the services it offers. The project has its own website isi%iN".raii

Due to

COVID-19 restrictions in the UK during 2020 it w&s not p)&sible to run the test sessions we bad
hoped to run, and it also resulted in the poSt￿nement of the qualifications and training we bad
planned for our staff.

Plans for Truture Periods
Barriers to Education
We will keep the situation regarding international travel restrictions and global school closures under
regular review during 2021 in the hope to being able to restart our support for small-scale, local
education projects when the time is righL
Rangers Riding Ranch
The next stages foi this Project are lo complete the training required for the current three horses and
PToje¢t staff. fmd a sole use yard which will enable both the pu￿base ofadditional horscs and possibly
the opportunity to take in liveries to help offset the costs. run some test sessions with a small number
of carefully selected ¢hildren and young p¢ople wittL additional necds. We plan to ¢xpand our network
of supporters to be in a strong position both in tern￿ of finances and expertise when the project is
ready to open. The exactly opening date for the project will be infiuenced by COVID-19 restrictions
in the UK during 2021. We plan to explore other trdining and qualification avenues for our staff
which would be less affected by COVID-19 restrictions. We will undertske a thorough review of our
health and safety policies and practices making any necessary cban8¢s an<Vor addition5 in the light
of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
