2020

As we approach the end of another financial year, our funds remain in a relatively healthy state, to enable the CIO to invest in assets and causes that the Trustees see as strategically important to the railway’s future and heritage.

Receipts in the first 9 months, whilst down on 2019, have been almost £22k (of which Grants were £14.8k and Donations were £3.9k), and expenditure on “routine” activities were £3.5k.

Investments in CIO Assets (including the costs of transporting them to the station area) so far this year, have been £19.4k, and further work on the Southern Extension, on behalf on NSR Limited has amounted to £22.7k, with more still to go.

We have continued to apply for Grants throughout the year, with some success, and when we complete work on the Southern Extension, we shall be preparing and submitting our final claim against the EU-backed “LEADER” grant funding program.

Bank Balances at 30[th] September 2020 totalled £105,855.
