## Structure 

The Spirit of Slapton is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation whose only voting members are its charity trustees.  It is governed by a Board of Trustees working to a constitution dated 27 March 2017.  It is managed on a day-to-day basis by the Trustees.  Sub-committees are established as required to handle fundraising activities. 

Trustees are appointed for 4-year terms.  Re-appointment or the appointment of a new Trustee requires unanimous agreement of existing Trustees who will consider the candidate’s motives, values and knowledge/skills with the goal of increasing the capability of the Trustees collectively. 

## Reserves Policy 

The CIO has not yet developed sufficiently to merit the adoption of a Reserves Policy. 

## Public Benefit 

The Trustees confirm that throughout the period they have complied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Commission in exercising their powers or duties. 



## Objectives and Activities 

The object of the CIO is to advance such purposes as are charitable in law for the benefit of the residents of Slapton and the surrounding area by undertaking projects and making grants of financial assistance to charities and voluntary organisations. 

The CIO conducts fundraising activities in and around Slapton to enable the delivery of its charitable purpose. 

## Achievements and Performance 

The Spirit of Slapton was virtually dormant through the reporting period raising no funds, making no donations, and expending only those funds associated with Charity Commission reports preparation.
