To advance the education of the public in the heritage of St. Osmunds<br>Church and Osmington Parish, by providing information on its history and<br>architecture.|

||The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity<br>Commission on public benefit.<br>The church is an essential element of the small village community but<br>lacks basic facilities such as toilets, catering, lighting and flexibility in its<br>lay out.  It also suffers from poor access having a steep approach which<br>is difficult for old residents to access.<br>The aim is to improve facilities for the parishioners and local residents of<br>the village and to provide a more flexible, useable and relevant centre<br>which can be used to stage community events, heritage displays,<br>concerts and plays, working alongside the nearby village hall.<br>All of these modifications require funds.  A series of small events has<br>been staged to raise an initial fighting fund to commence the projects.<br>We will now move onto seeking larger grants and donations from<br>institutions and other philanthropic organisations who support such<br>causes across the church community.|

## Section D                      Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

After the pause in fundraising activities during the pandemic lockdown, we held our most successful event, an auction of promises, in May 22 which generated a profit of £1,478. That event was ready to run before the pandemic but had to be postponed. 

We also held our 3[rd] Christmas concert with One Voice Choir in December 2022 which was as always, very enjoyable although not as well attended as in prior years.

The value of funds as of 31 December 2022 was £11,515 (2021: £9,256). **Brief statement of the** All of these funds come from local fundraising activities held since June **charity’s policy on reserves** 2016, when the re-ordering project was launched.
