The Tower was open to the public on Saturday afternoons for the whole of the 2024 season – Easter to the end of October. 2. This was achieved through the efforts of the Trustee in thwarting all attempts by sea gulls to nest on the tower’s roof. It involved the use of netting and constant vigilance. 3. Our Trustees continued regular maintenance checks in the Tower during the closed season, reporting the results to English Heritage. 4. Many concerns about the physical condition of the Tower have been reported to English Heritage. As last year, we still await their proposals for making good these defects. 5. We have been trying to recruit new volunteers to act as stewards with the ultimate aim of restoring Sunday opening. **TAR** March **2012** 4 **Section E Financial review** At present, we do not have any Allocated Reserves.
