Working in formal partnership with English Heritage, the Friends of Martello24 manage the openings to the public of Martello Tower No.24 in Dymchurch. 

The Trustees are aware of the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit and have taken it into account when making a decision to which the guidance is relevant.

## Section D                      Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

1. In 2019/2020 the tower was not opened to the publics due to the Covid19 pandemic. 

2. Our volunteers continued regular maintenance checks of the tower, reporting same to English Heritage. 

3. Grant of £9,000 received from Folkestone and Hythe District Council to pay for new displays in the tower. 

4. We published and maintained a Martello24 website, Facebook and Twitter pages.
