The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charily for the year ended
31 August 2024. The trustees have adopted th8 provisions of Accounting and Reporting by
Charities: Ststement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS
102) (eff6cUve 1 January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTivrriES
Objectlvos and alms
Our Objectives are:
To engage In activitles that support the school and thereby advance the education and well-being of
the pupils.
Provide and assist in the provislon of such facllltles or items for education at Ihe school as the
Committee, In consultation wlth th• Head, shall from tlme to time determine.
Our 81m is to continue supporting Wllson's School and to be rosourced predominantly by Wllsonian
Parent volunteers. We s&ek to attract sufficient funds to meet our objectives and our financial
reSer￿S target.

The activltles that we carry out are described above. These activities are undertaken to meet our
obiectives and aims 8nd to further our charitable purpos85 for the public benefit. In settlng and
revlewlng our objectives arKI aims, and in plannSng and carrylng out our actlvities, we have due
regard for the public benefit guSdanc8 published by the Charlly Commisslon.
Wllson's PFA remalns commltted to supporting families in need by providing unllmited free access
to Familiarlsation Tests for Ihose unable to afford the seats. Familie8 can apply for these places in
confidence by,contactlng th8 PFA Team. In addition to this, Wilson's PFA also provldes free seats
to those on the Wilson's School Outraach Programme.
Grant maklng
The maln and mosl imp￿tant criteria are to support the edu(xtlonal and social needs of the Wllson's
pupils by making grants to Wllson's School.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE

Reservès pollcy
The PFA retalns clrca £5,000 every financial year to cover expénses for the followlng year. The
Reserves Policy Is revlewed annually 8fter the end of the financial year ahd may be changed if
appropri8t6. The current Policy w88 agreed by the PFA Committee at its meetlng on the 7th of
Septembèr 2018.
THANKS
The PFA Team Members remain foreiier Indebted to Mr Nathan Cole, Head of Wilson's School, for
his continued support. His exemplary leadership qualities, professionalism, kindness and insplralion
continue to insplre all of us every day.
We would also Ilke to extend our thanks to all parents, school staff and the rest of the Wilsonian
Community for their ongolng support. Their support and trust enables us to contlnue supporting
Wllson's.
We would Ilke to axpress our appreciatlon to all our parent volunteers who kindly provide thelr
services free of charge. They give their tlme and support In many different ways to make the PFA a
friendly and warm community. The time and effort given, to ensure that the PFA continues to ralse
funds, is also greatly appreciated.
FUTURE PLANS
The PFA Team would like to cary on supporting Wilson's School and continue with thelr fundraising
endeavours for the educational and social needs of the Wilson's puplls.

STRUCTURE. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Appointment of new trustees
The current trustees are as set out below. The trustees shall retire from office al the AGM and are
eligible for reappolntment. All elected charity trustees must be a parenvlegal guardlan of a current
student or an ex-student at Wllson's School at the tlme of the annual general meeting.
(i) The Ilmlt speclfied In dause 12 (3)(c) on the number of elected charity trustees would not as
result be exceeded, and
(li) The charity truste88 may only appoint 8 member of the CIO as an eleoted charity trustee who 16
parenvlegal guardian of 8 current student or an ax-stud8nt St Wilson's School at the time of the
appointment; and
(iii) An elected charlty trustee so appointed by the charity trustees shall retlre In accordance wlth the
provisions of sub-clause (a) at the start of the next annual general meeting.
Decl8lon maklng
Any decision may be taken at a meetlng of Gharity tru8tses by majorlty vote of those presenl provlded
that;
(a) no disbursement of CIO funds to the school shall be auttK)rised,' and
(b) no expenditure of sums totalllng greater than £750 for thg organisation and facllllating of CIO
events shall be authorlsed.
Inductlon and tralnlng ot naw truste88
All newly appointed Trustees are encouraged to famlllarise themselves with the roles and
responslbllltles th@y have taken on of trusteeship. Experiencad trustees offer additional time and
support for one-to-one shadowing of roles as degmed necessary. All new (and existing) trustees ar6
mandalorily raquired to be bank signatories and be actively involved with the financial and legal
management of the charity. Tru8te88 must also have a clear overvlew of all ongoing events and daily
charity operations.
K•y management rgmuneratlon
None of the trustees received any remuneratlon or benefits.
Related partles
We currently have no direct or indirect financial Ilnks with any other organlsatlon.
Risk management
The trust8es have a duty to Identify and review the risks to which the charlty Is exposed and to
ensure appropriate controls are in place to provlde reasonable assurance against fraud and error.
GDPR
Wilson's PFA continues to adhere to a robust data protactlon policy to ensure GDPR compliance.

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of Wilson's Parents and Friend5
Association "PFA" (the Trust) for the year ended 31 August 2024.
Responslbilitles and basls of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responslble for the preparation of the accounts In
accordance wlth the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,).
I report In respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under Section 145 of the Act
and in carrying out my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity
Commission under Sectlon 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examlner's statement
I have completed my examinatlon. I conflnn that no materlal matters have come to my attantlon In
connectlon with the examlnation glvlng me cause to beliéve that In any material re8pect:
accounting records were not kept In respect of the Trust as requlred by Sectlon 130 of the Act;
or
the accounls do not accord with those records; or
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requlr6ments C￿cerning the form and content
of accounts s&t out in the Charitiès (Accounts and Reports) Re9ulatlons 2008 olher than any
requlrement that the accounts give a true and falr view which is not a matter considered as
part of an independent examinatlon.

Basls of preparlng the flnanclal statements
The fln8ncial statements of the charity, which is a publlc benefit éntity under FRS 102, have
been prepared in accordance wlth the Charities SORP {FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting
by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing thelr
accounts in accordance with the Financlal Reporting Standard applicable In the UK and
Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019),, Financial Reporting Standard 102
'The Flnanclal Reporting Stsndard appllcable in the UK and Republlc of Ireland, and the
Charltles Act 2011. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost
conventlon.

Incoma
All incomè is recognised In the Statement of Financial Actlvltles once the charity has
entitlement to the fvnds; it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be
measured rellably.
Exp•ndlturg
Expenses are recognised as SO￿ as Ihere Is a legal or constructlve obligation commlttiro the
charity to that expenditure, It is probable Ihal a transfer of economlc benefits will be required
in settlement and the amount of th8 obligation can be m8asured raliably. Exponditure 56
accounted for on an accruals basis and has been cla&sified under headlngs that aggregate all
cost r8lated to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings,
they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent wlth the use of resources.
Taxatlon
The charity Is exempt from tax on its charltable actlvities.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted fvnds can be used In accordance wlth the charitable objectives at the discretlon
of the trustees.
Reslricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of Ihe
charfty. R6Strictlons arise when speclfied by the donor or when funds are ralsed for partlcular
restrlcted purposes.
