The main activity is to provide cricket to
boys, girls, men and women of all ages
and abilities. The cricket club had a very
good season of cricket with over 80 adult
matches played and about 50 junior
games. In addition cricket coaching took
place at least three evenings a week
during the 22 weeks of the cricket
season.
The community pavilion was used for
cricket and football matches, and
hospitality almost every Saturday and
most Sundays. During the week it has
been used extensively for sport and
community events. There has been
increased use of the pavilion to help meet
the significant increase in costs
associated operating the facility.

some 32 volunteers the charity could not
operate they are vital to ensuring the
aims of the charity are met.

Para 1.20 During the 2022 cricket season the club
has in the main got back to a more
normal operation, the effect of the Covid
lockdown caused significant problems
and we were very grateful to the
Government support given through West
Suffolk Council during this difficult time.
Without the support the charity would not
have survived and been able to continue
in the way it has.
Cricket was played almost every day in
some form from mid-April to mid-
September.
Many promising young cricketers have
developed their talents during the year
both outside and indoors by using the
sports hall at the Victory Sports Ground.
The club have been able to give very
significant support to four boys all
refugees from Afghanistan during the
year, the boys have survived a difficult
journey but playing cricket has helped
them integrate into the community.
