## Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

The main achievement has been the continued organisation of events which successfully bring the school community together and forge stronger relationships and friendships:

- Our September 2022 Cream Tea was cancelled due to passing away of the Queen. It was decided to combine it with our Macmillan Coffee morning.

- We raised £335 for Macmillan Cancer Support with the support of our generous parents.

- Our Annual General Meeting was held in September 2022.

- In December 2022, We had a highly successful event and raised £2,852.46 from the market and merchandise for FJKS. Christmas Party was held at the Malthouse in Canterbury which was enjoyed. It was a relatively quiet event.

- In January 2023, Burns Night was a huge success and a sold-out event. £562.04 was raised for Deans Funds.

- In March 2023, We gifted some beautiful Easter treats to every pupil in the School.

- In May 2023, we sold cakes and raised £659.34, which was donated to Brain and Spine Foundation.

- In June 2023, we had our first Summer Party which was a success and enjoyed by many. We raised £1077.07 at the event.

- The second-hand uniform shop raised £4511.99, once again showing what a valuable service, this is for parents.

FJKS has continued to support Classlist, a secure online address book, messaging and event tracking system, which was launched in June 2017. About 98% of parents are registered on Classlist which makes the communication between parents and between FJKS and parents of events/meeting/birthday parties much easier and more efficient.

## **Section E                    Financial review**

**Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves Details of any funds materially in deficit**

FJKS currently operates a single bank account and petty cash. Cashflows vary depending on the nature of events held and the amount of sales through the second-hand uniform shop. Hence there is no typical 3-9 month level.

We aim to keep our cash balance at a minimum level of £1,500 so that there is sufficient working capital to fund event payments which may arise before event income has been received.

None

## **Further financial review details (Optional information)**

You **may choose** to include additional information, where relevant about:

- the charity’s principal sources of funds (including any fundraising);

- how expenditure has supported the key objectives of the charity;

The main sources of income continue to be from events and proceeds from the sale of second-hand uniforms. We achieved an overall income of £16,799.94 via bank transactions and we currently have £2565.13 in petty cash.

The year-end cash balance is £ £56,421.10 with a cheque still needs cashing by the charity (£16,450 ringfenced for Cricket Pavilion and £4377.83 received from the Ball committee for a project that needs to be finalized).

- investment policy and objectives including any ethical investment policy adopted.

## **Section F Other optional information**

## **Future Plans**

Events and activities will continue as normal in the forthcoming year.
