The charity<br>successfully sustained its Meeting<br>Centre provision, supported carers<br>across Powys and focused on<br>retaining and developing volunteers,<br>encouraging them to take on new<br>roles and responsibilities.|

Additional support, education and<br>advice were delivered through verbal, written<br>and electronic communication.<br>**Development of dementia-friendly**<br>**communities:**<br>DMiP worked closely with Dementia Friendly<br>groups in Newtown and Welshpool, which<br>contribute to the sustainability of local<br>Meeting Centres. Intergenerational work with<br>schools proved particularly successful in<br>supporting children and young people to<br>better understand dementia.<br>**Enabling people living with dementia to**<br>**feel understood and valued:**<br>People living with dementia contributed to<br>the planning and programme content of<br>Meeting Centres. Service User<br>Representatives also contributed to strategic<br>work through involvement in the Dementia<br>Action Plan and Dementia Standards.<br>**Providing flexible support to people with**<br>**dementia and carers:**<br>Support was provided through a variety of<br>formats, including in-person support during<br>home visits, group Meeting Centre sessions,<br>telephone conversations, emails and postal<br>communication.|

## **Financial Review** 

Review of the charity’s Para 1.21 financial position at the end At the end of the reporting period, secured of the period funding was sufficient to sustain current activities and revised staffing levels until the end of April  2026. The charity is actively seeking further funding to ensure sustainability beyond this period.
