WB YEATS BEDFORD PARK PROJECT 1172224 INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT for the year ended 30- JUNE 2025 I report on the accounts of the Company for the year ended 30, JUNE 2025, Respertive sPonSIbl11t1eS of trustees and examiner The Charity's Trustees (who are also the directors of the company for the purposes of company law) are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity'5 trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under Section 144 {21 of the Charities Act 2011 { the 2011 Act"} and that an independent examination is needed. The charity's gross income has not exceeded £250,000, and l am qual:,fied to up,dertake the examination by being a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to an audit under company law and is eligible for independent examination, it is my responsibiltty to= examine th& accounts under section 145 of the £011 Act to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 1451SXbl of the 2011 Act; and - to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of the Independent Examiner's Report My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. The main activity to be undertaken for public benefit is the provision of the artwork as set out in the organisation’s objects and the provision, medium term and longer-term, of publicity and educational information associated with the artwork about WB Yeats and the history and heritage of Bedford Park. Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
Artwork & Visitor Experience:

Artwork now in care and maintenance mode where the project insures and maintains (regular cleaning etc) the artwork pending proposed takeover of care and maintenance by local authority.

The smartphone tour available free to visitors by clicking on a QR code on the information signage by the artwork will be maintained in perpetuity by St Michael and All Angels Church.
Events/Education:

The smartphone audio tour continues to attract visitors and we keep the story and the cultural and artistic implications of Yeats’s Bedford Park alive with media coverage and involvement with local organisations including Bedford Park Festival, Chiswick Book Festival and Bedford Park Society, and were pleased to be invited to contribute content on Yeats and his literary and artistic circle to the society’s 150[th] anniversary exhibition which was widely viewed at a number of loal Chiswick and Bedford Park locations.

We celebrated Yeats’s birthday, as always, with a (12[th] June 2025) poetry evening at the Yeats family’s former parish church, St Michael and All Angels, Bedford Park, on Yeats’s birthday with, as special guest, poet, and editor of Irish Nobel-Prize-winner Seamus Heaney’s letters, Christopher Reid, plus an in-person guided tour of Yeatsian locations in his Land of Heart’s Desire from William Morris’s Kelmscott House and the river island which inspired his most famous poem, to the artwork and the various Bedford Park locations which fostered his cultural life and artistic development.
