supporting the continuing work of retired clergy of the Church of
England in their local activities and more widely.
b) To relieve the needs of retired clergy by providing information,
support and advice pertaining to housing, pensions and welfare
and by encouraging the Church of England leaders at local and
national levels to support retired clergy in their care in order to
ensure their mental and physical health and well-being.| |---|---| ||Four Newsletters were published and circulated among members of the
Association during the year.
Two general meetings were held where:
a) Accounts were presented and approved
b) The present Chair and other trustees were appointed
c) Members were able to express their opinions on matters
pertaining to the mental and physical health and well-being of
retired clergy in the Church of England.
The Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary/Treasurer of the Association
attended meetings with senior officers of the Church of England Pensions
Board and of the Ministry Division of the Church of England to address
matters of concern to retired clergy in the Church of England.
The Trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity

One of these was the Annual General Meeting. The Charity held three Trustees’ meetings during the year. Representatives of the Charity met twice during the year with senior officers of the Church of England Pensions Board, with representatives of the Human Resources Department of the Archbishops’ Council of the Church of England and with representatives of the Remuneration and Conditions of Service Committee of the Archbishops’ Council. During the year the Charity gained 121 new members and lost 64 members through death, giving a total membership of 3778 at the end of the year. The Charity published 4 Newsletters during the year and distributed them to members by hard copies and email.
