## **Positive West Midlands trustees report** 

The group has had a strange year. We started our financial year in October 2019 in a relatively good financial position with many plans for the forthcoming 12 months, and immediately re started the weekly dance, craft and watercolour painting sessions. 

We had planned for a special social event every quarter based on the most popular suggestions of our members, with our first as a Christmas meal, which was arranged at the Loft Lounge, near Hurst Street, Birmingham, which was greatly enjoyed by all who attended. 

The next event, which was decided as a night at the comedy club at the Arcadian Centre, Hurst Street, had reached booking stage when the Covid lockdown hit. Not only we’re all planned events postponed, but the group was forced to close our premises until lockdown was lifted. 

Although the utility costs of the premises continued during lockdown, they were greatly reduced through inactivity. 



After 3 months of uncertainty, and no sign of being allowed to reopen, the group trustees purchased a zoom package, which would allow the group to meet virtually each Monday and Friday. This did not meet every members needs but was better than nothing. 

And so we found ourselves at the end of another financial year with very few of our aims coming to fruition. 

Although at the time of writing this report, we know that 2020 to 2021 amounted to very little, we have high hopes of returning to our usual levels of service in the near future.
