Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Throughout the peri(xl of this report the church has continued with the regular programme of activities as follows: Sunday - Church servlcos Mirfield Evangelical Church provided weekly Sunday morning and evening services for the local community. The majority of these church services are also streamed live on the internet for the benefit of anyone unable to meet in person. A regular 'Explorers' bible teaching group for 11 year olds was provided during the morning services. and we re-started an additional 'Mini-Explorers' for 2-4s during this period, which refiects increasing numbers of young families in regular attendance. 'Equip', a Bible study group for 11-18s meets fortnightly before the evening service. A baptismal service was held in April 2025. The Church provided community support for members and local people including the following regular meetings.. Weekly Wednesday prayer meelings allemate with Wednesday house groups for prayer and bible study. 'Allsort8' . weekly Thursday moming stsy and play group for toddlers and their carers. Weekly door-t¢>door visiting (weather permittingl) to engage our neighbours with the church'8 activitie8 and the Christian faith. Monthly Monthly Bring and Share Sunday lunch. 'The Big Read, monthly discussion reviews a dally reading programme to help church members and others engage with the message of the whole Bible book-by-book. 'Voyagers' children's dub continued once a month on Saturday mornings. This indudes a Christian message wilh songs, crafts and games for primary school-aged children of church members and the local community. A monthly Saturday morning book table in the town centre continued during this period. lo engage our neighbours with the church's adivities and the Christian faith. Tornily Members of the church partnered IMth members of other local FIE affiliated churches to run a Youth Day for 11-14s, which has n¢ outgrown our church building and is hosted at another local church. Annuallyloccaslonally A church day away was held at Jennyfield Evangelical Church in Harrogate in June 2024 for the benefit of church members, visitors and their families. Harry Clayson, our A8SiStant Pastor, spoke at the annual MAD Camp for teenagers run in conjunction with 2 other local evangelical churches. The church ran a 'Coffee and Chat, tent at the Mirfield Sh¢)w in August 2024. A week-long Holiday Bible Club based on the biblical book of Jonah took place during August 2024, for primary-aged children. A ladies, Christmas wreath-making event with a Christian message was held in the autumn term for the benefit of church members and visitors. Two Christmas carol services were run and advertised in the local community through leaflet distribution as well as social media in D8rnber 2024. A week of prayer meetings was arranged, for church members and visitors, at the beginning of January 2025. Year 5 dasses from the local primary schod once again visited the church building in March 2025 for a brief tour and a talk about the regular activities of the church, as part of the 'Mirfield Respect, programme. for those investigating the Christian faith. A joint Good Friday service with another local church (Dewsbury Evangelical Church) was held in April 2025, along with a (roughly quarterly) joint churches, prayer meeting involving at least 7 ILxal evangelical churches. The Church provided support for Christian ministries in the UK and overseas by way of prayer and financial gifts.
