Faith primarily but not exclusively within Mirfield and the surrounding

Throughout the period of this report the church has continued with the
regular programme of actp4ities as follows:
Sunday - Church servlces
Mirfield Evangelical Church provided weekly Sunday morning and
evening services for the local community. The majority of these church
services are also streamed live on the intemet for the benefit of anyone
unable to meel in person. A regular 'Explorers' bible teaching group for >
11 year olds was provided during the moming services.
During this year we also began a group for 11-18s meeting fortnightly
after the evening seNice.
A baptismal service for 3 candidates was held in April 2024.
The Church provided community support fly members and local people
induding the following regular meetings:
Weekly
Wednesday prayer meetings altemate with Wednesday house groups for
prayer and bible study.
'Allsorts' _ weekty Thursday moming stay and play group for toddlers and
their carers.
Weekly dOOr-t￿d0Or visiting (weather pemiittingl) began in September
2023 to engage our neighbours with the church's activities and the
Christian faith.
Monthly
Monthly Bring and Share Sunday lunch.
'The Big Read, monthly discussion reviews a daily reading programme to
help church members and others engage with the message of the whole
Bible book-by-book.
'Voyagers' children's club continued once a month on Saturday
mornings. This indudes a Christian message with songs. crafts and
games for primary school-aged children of church members and the local
community.
A monthly Saturday moming book table in the town centre was pion8erod
during this period, to engage our neighbours with the church's activities
and the Christian faith.
Tennly
Members of the church partnered with members of other local FIEC-
affiliated churches to run a Youth Day for 11-14s, hosted in the church
building. In 2024 this outgrew our church building and is now hosted at
another local church.
Annuallyloccaslonally
A church day away was again held at Bolton Abbey village hall in June
2023 for the benefft of church members, visitors and their families.
The thurch ran a 'Coffee and Chat, tent at the Mirfield Show in August
2023.
Frorn September 2023 we have employed an additional member of staff,
Hary Clayson. as Assistant Pastor.
A men's breakfast event and ladies. Chrislmas wreath-making event.
both with a Christian message, were held in the autumn tenm for the
benefit of church members and visitors.
Two Christmas carol services were run and advertised in the local
community through leafiet distribution as well as social media in
December 2023.
A week of prayer meetings was arranged. for church members and
visitors. at the beginning of January 2024.
Year 5 dasses from the local primary school visited the church building in
March 2024 for a brief tour and a talk about the regular activities of the
church, as part of the 'Mirfield Respect, programme.
A quiz night with a Christian message, was held for the benefft of church
members and visitors, in March 2024.

quarterly) joint chUrd￿, prayer meeting invofving at least 7 local
evangelical churches.
The Church provided support for Christian ministries in the UK and
overseas by way of prayer and financial gifts.
The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity
Commission on public benefft.

As the charity's trustees, you are ￿sPonSIble for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
(°the Act.).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examination. I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect..
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130
