These projects have been<br>enthusiastically and gratefully received by<br>the communities they serve and by the<br>DHMT.<br>We continue with our education<br>programme, via scholarships, and were<br>able to fund 4 people under this scheme,<br>with qualifications ranging from Community<br>Midwife, SRN, and two qualifications under<br>Community Health Sciences –  BSc and<br>Diploma.<br>The mentoring programme has yet to get<br>off the ground, despite the support of the<br>DMO, Dr. Yilla, as we were unable to find<br>someone to lead the project for us in<br>Kambia.  We have now agreed to split the<br>workload between a small group of people<br>who will lead it between them.<br>We were very grateful to receive a donation<br>of £1,000 from the Dumbreck charity and<br>£1553 donation via Much Loved in memory<br>of Bernie Cannon.|

## **Financial Review** 

|Review of the charity’s<br>financial position at the end<br>of the period|Para 1.21|Income reduced marginally from the<br>previous financial year despite the receipt<br>of a donation from another charitable trust.<br>Expenditure increased, however, in line<br>with plans agreed by the Trustees, with the<br>purchase of various items of medical<br>equipment for shipment to Kambia and the<br>provision of financial support to refurbish 2<br>Peripheral Health Units(PHUs) in the<br>District.<br>The Trustees have continued to consider<br>the ongoing life and activities of the Charity.<br>They are very much aware that its<br>continued existence is to some extent<br>dependent on the level of funds held and,<br>as such, efforts continue to add to these<br>funds going forward.<br>In the opinion of the Trustees the level of<br>Unrestricted funds of £39,232 held at 31st<br>March 2024 is adequate for short term<br>purposes.|
