FUTURE PIANS
This year ha$ been a tumultL*YJS one. Durlng Aprll to May we worked hard to both malntaln aur numbers and look for new
ways to Kcommodate n•w membets. We declded on doubllng our effDrt to ensure local SEND adult 8roups and centres
knew of the facllities we Dffered. Unfortunate￿, before any new groups c(yJld Start, we suffered a devastating flood at the
beginning of March.
The flooding caused damage to all areas of the 8ymnaslum, Wlih rnuch of our equlpment beln8 fo¥rt. a greai deal of It was

throu6h thelr fundrai5in8 was completely destroyed, Over a period of 8 months the gym remained closed. We utlllsed the
Services of an Insurance consultant to help us navigate the process. The only positive p)inr ￿ come out of the flood was the
total renovatlon of ow facllit+es. We were able to replAeÈ the roof and the Ilghting sysrem and cornplrtdy redecorate. Thus,
creatin8 8 better environmeni than the ori8inal one.
The gym reopene(J on 10th February 2024. It has been a battle to rebuild our prtrck)sure numbers to ensure we can cover all
of our overhèads. but we have made progress in this area.
We stll I look to expand ow programme to utillse our staff and space even more durfng the daytiffle. Our head of SEND Is
constantly building con￿￿tIOn wlth local seThlce providers to ensure we contlnue to be a valuable asset to the community
around us.
Folltrwin8 on from last year we stlll wSsh to employ another full.time member of staff. We are keen for th15 person to have
experience wlth SEND so are taking our lime wrth the recrultment process to ensure we find the best match,
We are keen to expand Into Sunday oper8ting but have stru88led to staff thls. We ￿ntInue to look Into woys of attractln8
staff to work these hour5 and hope thls Is somethln8 we can offer in thefuture.
Our Competitive team continues to perform well at local competltlons. At presenL a lot of thls coaching Is carrled out * the
senlor managèrs whose time COLsld be better used. We wlll loc4¢ to employ an expedenced competition coach to relieve thls
burden and further develop the cornpetition fvyugramrne. This will In turn free up spaces at the be8inner end of the club as
rrtlre children pro£ress through to thecompetltlve pro¥ramme.
Due to the Ilmlts of stsffin& ènd physlcal space this has always been difficult. We are currently one of the largest 8ymna*lcs
