surrounding communities by providing facilities for education, recreation and other leisure time occupations. The children and young people who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, poverty, financial hardship or social or economic circumstances in the interest of social welfare and with the object of
1) Improving their conditions of life
2) Developing their potential skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible adults.
The trustees are pleased to present their seventh annual report since registering as a CIO in March 2017.
Donisthorpe Youth club is now in its 12th year.
Throughout this year the Club has regularly has an average attendance of 35 young people.
However, we must continue to recruit more volunteers to assist on youth club evenings to ensure continuity as young people (and their parents) move on.
Recently two of our key volunteers resigned from the club to focus on other activities within the Donisthorpe community. The impact of this loss has been minimised by the recruitment of two enthusiastic volunteers with new ideas and a zest for keeping the group running safely and eectively with the young people at the heart of everything.
Some new equipment has been purchased, making things more appealing for the young people. A tuck shop is available each week with a range of snacks and drinks available for the young people to purchase at lower than shop prices.
Finally, thank you to all Trustees, committee members and volunteers for their support to Donisthorpe Youth Club over the past year.
I urgently wish to ask Donisthorpe community to volunteer to help run our vital club to
