The children and young people who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, poverty, financial hardship or social or economic circumstances in the interest of social welfare and with the object of

2) Developing their potential skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible adults.
The trustees are pleased to present their sixth annual report since registering as a CIO in March 2017.
Donisthorpe Youth club is now in its 11th year.
Following re-opening of the youth club after the pandemic the youth club has gone from strength to strength and regularly has an average attendance of 35 young people. However, we must continue to recruit more volunteers to assist on youth club evenings to ensure continuity as young people (and their parents) move on.
Last year two of our long-standing volunteers moved to new pastures. Fortunately, several new, enthusiastic volunteers have taken their place and have joined the youth club team with new ideas and a zest for keeping
the group running safely and effectively with the young people at the heart of everything.
The youth club building has been re-decorated, with thanks to Wickes for providing the paint and equipment. New equipment has also been purchased, making things more appealing for the young people. A tuck shop is available each week with a range of snacks and drinks available for the young people to purchase at lower than shop prices.
Finally, thank you to all Trustees, committee members and volunteers for their support to Donisthorpe Youth Club over the past year. As this will be my last year as chairman of Donisthorpe Youth Club I am confident that the group will continue to flourish.
AIMS FOR 2023-2024

To continue the safe running of the youth club ensuring any new and existing regulations are adhered to.

To promote the youth club and plan a varied program of educational and fun activities

To continue fundraising to purchase equipment for outside activities. To organize and subsidise trips

Ensure any new volunteers, committee members and Trustees have the relevant experience and skills for these roles.

Ensure all safeguarding checks are complete for any new and existing volunteers, committee members and trustees.
