- g) Food distribution
h) Donating to individuals, families, communities to relieve poverty, medical expenses
Main achievements
Due to the Covid19 pandemic, no overseas visits have been made during this year. However, Vic Gledhill has maintained contact with our overseas partners by email, phone calls and WhatsApp. Zoom video conferencing was also conducted on two occasions from trustees’ meetings to Hanok in Nepal and Eric Mudenyo in Kenya. These Zoom meetings were very encouraging and helpful, enabling the trustees to “meet” our partners. Most of the grants were for Covid relief, although not exclusively, as can be seen below.
a) Kenya Korr water project: Installation of desalination plant and its on-going maintenance would be expensive. Investigating the possibility if an alternative solution could be found. Covid19 pandemic has delayed further investigation.
b) Kenya Covid19 pandemic: Grants have been made for food to communities. Due to lockdown, people are unable to work and earn money.
c) Kenya medical aid: A grant was made for an emergency operation and medical costs for Eric’s wife (Trans4m International partner). Grant was made for Moses’ medical training.
d) Nigeria Covid19 pandemic: Grants have been made for food to communities. Due to lockdown, people are unable to work and earn money.
e) Nepal water project: Restoration of water to high mountainous villages is on-going where possible, but slow progress due to Covid19 pandemic. Water supply to Niure was completed in March 2021. Humla village water supply completed in April 2021; the people here are Dalits (“untouchables”) and they now have their own water supply. A number of baptisms took place, resulting from 10 years of ministry by a Nepalese “missionary”, using their own “new” water! Another 7000 metres pipeline in the Humla region will be completed in August 2021.
f) Nepal Covid19 pandemic: Majority of grants were made for food to communities, where, due to lockdown, people are unable to work and earn money. A number of church pastors have been taken by Covid19 leaving widows and children without means of financial support. Trans4m International has sent grants for this need. Whilst searching out most marginalised people groups, a previously unknown “Sonaha” ethic minority Dalit community was discovered in South-West Nepal. They were desperate for food and we were able to help. Many contacts have been made through food aid, giving opportunity to bring the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ.
g) Nepal general: Grants were made to buy blankets for prisoners in jail, visited by one of our partners. Grant was made to purchase motor bikes for community outreach workers.
h) Pakistan Covid19 pandemic: Grants have been made for food to communities.
i) India: Grants were made to (i) Bethany Hospital in Thane, (ii) Shishir Kerketta hospital fees. Pictorial reports relating to many of the projects mentioned are available up request.
In planning the activities the Trustees have applied the guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity Commission.

REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 JULY 2021
Structure, governance and management
The policy and operating decisions of the Charity rest with the Trustees who meet regularly to monitor the activities of the Charity. New Trustees are recruited and appointed by a majority of existing Trustees.
Financial review
The Trustees of Trans4m International are very grateful for the generous giving of individuals, charitable trusts and organisations to the cause of the charity. Generous donations have enabled the financial status at the end of year to be healthy and puts the charity in a good position for the year ahead.
During the year receipts totalled £101,867 and total payments were £137,215, so that cash balances decreased by £35,349 to £102,197, of which £86,866 was unrestricted cash.
Reserves policy
The Trustees have adopted a policy of holding unrestricted reserves equivalent to six months’ normal operating costs. At year end the unrestricted cash reserves amount to £86,866 which exceeds the target.
Key risks and uncertainties
The Trustees have reviewed the risks to which a small charity operating with just one employee is exposed. Appropriate procedures are in place to identify, monitor and review these risks on a regular basis.
Plans for the future
Future plans remain restricted and influenced by the current Corvid19 pandemic. However, the following is envisaged, but not exclusive:
To all relevant counties (as below and others): Covid19 relief grants.
Nepal : Continued restoration of water supplies to villages. Community outreach and relief.
Kenya: Completion of Korr district water supply by resolving (rebuilding?) the water tower collapse and finding a possible alternative to installing a reverse osmosis water desalination plant. Community outreach and relief where needed.
Nigeria and Pakistan : community aid and outreach as needed
All of the above activities will be carried out and overseen by the charity’s trusted local partners in conjunction with considerations and directions from T4I CEO Victor Gledhill and Trustees. Communications will continue via email, WhatsApp, phone calls, until such time as physical visits can be made (subject to lifting of Covid restrictions).
Responsibilities of Trustees
Charity law requires us as Trustees to prepare financial statements for each accounting year which record the receipts and payments of the charity for the year.
We are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable us to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011.
We also have a responsibility to safeguard the assets of the charity and to take reasonable steps to prevent fraud or any other irregularities.
Approval
This report was approved by the Trustees and signed on their behalf by:
