TAR

Amyloid Action has established its grant making policy to achieve its objects for raising funds for equipment and research at the National Amyloidosis Centre and the Christie Hospital and for the public benefit of improving the lives of amyloidosis sufferers by providing funds and equipment to sufferers and also to raise awareness/education about this rare disease of Amyloidosis amongst the general public.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

We have continued to deliver virtual presentations and discussions throughout our professional network - these include The Institution of Engineering and Technology, The association for Project Management, universities and medical organisations. This has both raised funds and helped to raise awareness of this little known disease.

In carrying out all of the above, the trustees confirm that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit when reviewing our aims and objectives and in planning future activities and setting the grant making policy for the year.
