## Structure, Governance and Management

Friends of Floreat Montague Park (“FOFMP”) is governed by its constitution, adopted on 11[ th ] January 2017 and is a registered charity regulated by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity.

Trustees are appointed in accordance with the charity’s governing document. All new trustees receive an induction, which includes information on their legal obligations, the charity’s activities, and its finances. The members meet regularly to review activities, monitor performance, and address risks.

## Mission and Objective

Our Charity mission is to support the learning journey of every child at our school. Our team of volunteers is dedicated to building a strong, collaborative bridge between parents and teachers. We understand the importance of a united community in nurturing the growth and development of school children and a key focus of ours is to support the school through fundraising initiatives. These funds are critical in providing additional resources, enhancing learning environments, and sponsoring programs that directly benefit the children of Floreat Montague Park.

Throughout the year we organise and host a variety of key fundraising events which help fundraise vital funds. These include:

- A sponsored fundraiser

- Quiz night

- Pre-loved uniform sales

- School discos

- A very popular Christmas fair and much more

Our fundraising target for this academic year was £14,000 which we intended to spend on new playground equipment and support with refurbishing our school library.

## Achievements and Performance

Over the last year, FOFMP has made excellent progress towards our charitable objectives. Highlights include:

- Raising over £25,000, with significant donation from John Lewis Partnership “Communities Matter- Healthier Communities “initiative where we were awarded a £7,000 grant.

- We have successfully supported the purchase of the new playground installed in June’25.

- Received positive feedback from teachers and children and the wider school community.

We did encounter challenges getting volunteers for some of our events, however we are taking proactive measures in engaging more with our communities through social media and providing greater transparency of our success stories and impact on children in our school.
